What is a hotel PMS?
A property management system (PMS) is the software a property runs on: reservations, check-in and check-out, room status, guest bills, payments and the end-of-day reports. Oak is a PMS for hotels, lodges, safari camps, guesthouses, villas, apartments and hostels in Tanzania and East Africa.
Does Oak include a channel manager for Booking.com, Expedia and Airbnb?
Yes. The channel manager keeps rates and availability in sync with Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb and 100+ other OTAs, so a room sold on one channel closes on the others. It is priced on its own line, so you only pay for it if you use it.
Can guests book directly with no commission?
Yes. Every property gets its own booking page on its own link, where guests book directly with no OTA commission.
Does Oak accept M-Pesa and other mobile money?
Yes. M-Pesa, Mixx, Airtel Money, HaloPesa, AzamPesa and T-Pesa are built in, alongside cash, card, bank transfer and cheque.
Is Oak available in Swahili?
Yes. Every screen works in Swahili and English, and staff can switch between the two at any time.
How much does hotel management software cost in Tanzania?
